Olivarez General Hospital Offers New EEG and ECG Patch Services

Timed with Epilepsy Week, Olivarez General Hospital unveiled its new EEG service, empowering accurate diagnosis of neurological conditions, including epilepsy. The non-invasive EEG procedure records electrical activity in the brain, supporting physicians in the early detection and management of seizures and other neurological disorders. Now available at the hospital’s diagnostic department, this service underscores Olivarez General Hospital’s commitment to improving access to essential tests for patients with neurological symptoms and epilepsy risk factors.

The hospital also introduces the novel ECG Patch—a lightweight, wire-free cardiac monitoring device that provides physicians with a continuous, live view of the patient’s heart activity. Unlike traditional, bulky Holter monitors, the ECG Patch allows individuals to go about daily activities—including sleeping, showering, and working—without inconvenience. Real-time notifications are sent to both the patient and their doctor in case of a cardiac event, supporting faster interventions and safer outcomes. The ECG Patch represents a significant step forward for cardiac care in southern Metro Manila, making monitoring simpler and more comfortable for all patients.
